I (Dr. Jim Garvey) am seeking up to three fully funded, highly motivated and innovative graduate students (M.Sc. and Ph.D.) to join my lab in the Center for Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences in the School of Biological Sciences at SIU. Start dates are flexible from Fall 2022 through Summer 2023. Projects can vary focusing on the ecology of native and invasive fishes in the Central US in a biologically unique and highly diverse set of ecological systems. My students typically go into agency positions or academics, with a high professional success rate.
